Is there a limit of size of site, that could be downloaded by the program?

The size of site has no importance for the program. There is only one limiting factor – free space on your hard disk.

The program stops the downloading of the project spontaneously. What’s wrong?

This is the restriction of the not registered version. Buy the license and the program will work without stops as much as long as you want.

I’ve sent you the form for registration. So, when I can receive the registered version of your program?

WebTransporter is the paid product. The form is just an inquire about registration. After dispatch of the form you should pay the registration by a way, convenient for you, then you will receive the registered version.

This significance isn’t limited by the program. Every time when you will create a new project the program itself will count this significance.

The program can stop because of following reasons:

There are no links on other resources on the initial URL-address, specified by you (change the initial URL-address);

Small depth of scanning (change the depth of scanning in sets of the project);

Small waiting time of the answer of server (increase this parameter in sets);

There are no files with the expansions, listed by you, on server (change the expansions of those files, which should be downloaded);
-
No connection with the Internet.

<…> It’s possible to enlarge a window of the program and it’s impossible to reduce its size.

The point is a window cannot be less than the certain size. Otherwise all interface controls would be merged with each other.

I thought that after creation of a new project there should be a list of projects to the right of buttons. But there is only one project! What’s wrong?

The main window of the program can be conditionally divided into three parts: the first panel with
managing buttons at the left and two panels one above another. The downloaded links are displayed in the top panel (not the names of projects) and the information about downloading of each stream is displayed in the lower panel. Only one project is created and only one project works (its name is at the top after the inscription “WebTransporter xxx”). If you want several projects to work at the same time, just start necessary quantity of copies of the program.

If at the creating of a new project to enter just name of file, instead of with the help of button “Browse” – the program gives out: “Cannot create file…”. What’s wrong?

In a window is written: “Specify a path to the file of the project”. It means not only file name, but name with the path. The button “Browse” is intended in order to mistakes didn’t arise.

Why the type of connection is set only for the project, instead of for the whole program?
|

|
In sets of the program put a tick opposite to item: ”Save the sets of connection with the Internet”.

The firewall from MS is installed on my computer. Why the program doesn’t work?
|
|
|

|
If you’re working with the firewall of the company MS, for example MS Proxy Server or MS ISA, then it’s necessary to carry out the autotentification of NTLM for correct work. The program cannot do it yet, that’s way it’s better to switch off the firewall on an operating time of the program.

I cannot set the button of the program to IE 6. What to do?

The button was added. It just wasn’t displayed on the panel (set: View > panel of tools > sets… And move the button WebTransporter from the left panel to the right one).

What is it mean: “masking
under the browser”?
|
|

|
It means simulating the work of browser. Some sites are protected from such downloaders.

Why the program doesn’t offer to save the project at the exit?
|
|
|

|
If you leave the program when the project is working and the program is downloading the data, the project stops and saves itself. If you press the button “Stop the project”, then the project is stopped and saved. At any case you don’t risk to lose the information from a file of the project in regular situations.

Where I can find the project after its downloading on my computer (the downloading is completed)?
|

|
In the folder, where the file of the project was created (file with expansion .wrm) the folders with names of sites, which you‘ve set for downloading were created. All downloaded links are displayed in the window of the program directly above the list of working streams. To go through the contents of the down loaded links just click
by mouse on it twice.

The site http://........./../images/Gallery1/ contains the gallery Jpg, but it cannot be downloaded by your program. Why?

The program can download only those documents and pictures, on which there are links. Your link doesn’t contain html-file, from which it would be possible to begin downloading. Choose the other initial URL-address.

At the opening of a new project it’s necessary to specify a complete path to the file of the project, but there is no project yet – hence there is no file too. What to do? And where I can find a file of the project (the program is installed in D:\Program Files\WebTransporter)?

You write: “At the opening of a new project…”, but the NEW project cannot be OPENED, it can be CREATED. A window where you should specify the path is called “The creation of a new project”. So you are creating a new project and you should specify a path, where there will be the file of the project. In your case it’s more advisable to save it in a folder D:\Program Files\WebTransporter\Projects. Then you can open it from there.

At the start the program gives out the message: “Access violation at address 004B3E91…”. Then it starts but without inscriptions. What’s problem?
|

The files rus.lng, eng.lng and
grm.lng have to be in a folder “Language”, and this folder – in a folder of the program. The structure, which is in zip-file, should be saved at the extraction from the archive.

|
I work from a local network with the proxy-server. The program downloads very slowly. What can I do?
|

|
If a network is O’k, we advise you to disconnect the proxy-server in sets of the program.
